Latest Song: Sailing Home to Me
I’m a great believer that the lyrics are as important as the music. It’s like baking a cake and you’re finishing it off by putting the icing on the top. If you’ve written a great piece of music and you add really bad lyrics, it's like finishing your cake by sprinkling saw dust on top.

The story of Sailing Home to Me is told through the eyes of an observer watching a close friend he/she yearns to be intimately involved with going through a painful breakup.

The message is: Your salvation will come when you decide to sail away from the stormy seas of the past and find your sheltered harbour in my arms.

Lyrics

You were like a darkened window – I couldn’t look inside
You were like a frightened young child – trying hard to hide
You were like an injured free bird – flying from your pain
To me, you’re a beautiful sunrise – shining through the rain

BRIDGE
All the storms and passing dark clouds – are gonna drift away
And all the thoughts of troubled times – have got no place today – now I say…

CHORUS
Standing there with your trials and woes
With all your frailties left exposed
Turn around – your saving grace will be
When you’re sailing home to me

I can be the perfect answer – to what you want to find
I can be your guilty pleasure – always on your mind
I can be your graceful sailboat – floating on your sea
I can be your sheltered harbour – when you’re sailing home to me

CHORUS

MID
You can fight – through the storm
To a place where hopes and dreams are born
But it’s a price you’ve got to pay – now I say…

CHORUS

Blackflock & Shakesby
